Real name Godfrey Lucas Kilunga famously known as TAKWA, Born in Tanzania Dar Es Alam Is a Bongo Flava Artist who is the 1st born in his family unfortunately my Dad died on 29th May 2014.
This was a big blow to me cuz my dad always supported my music projects, I started loving and doing music ever since standard four but the year 2001 is when I fully committed myself to music.
This led to an outcome of recording my first single which I featured Dullysykes & Queen Darling titled (KIFO CHA MAPENZI) Death of love then I later recorded Ester ft Mr. Blue which got massive response from my fans.
Talking of collaborations I happened to be featured by Ali Kiba in a song titled “Nichum” Kiss Me, and Mapenzi ya kweli (True love) by Baby Jay. Other artists who also featured me includes: - Alicom, Abby Skillz, T.I.D, Hakeem 5 and Pico.
I do Rap and R&B but I’m also versatile and can fit to any style of music. At the moment I have a new track titled Mapenzi ni nini? (What’s love?) Here I’m talking about my mind-set in love, it’s something that caught me and made me ask myself what’s love? On the way it affected me.
